Social TV – an instant, global anecdotal example

Its a trueism that once you begin to get interested in a subject your radar is instantly more alerted to content across social media. So it is with Social TV at the moment having participated in an event in Brasilia a few weeks ago which was organised by Esporte Interativo. But also discussing it with some clients and aquaintances both in the UK and Brazil in recent weeks. That’s the context to the 2 pictures which i have posted here. Facebook posts from Facebook friends on 2 different continents both posting about American Horror Story within hours of each other. It says a lot about the emerging Social TV phenomenon but also about how access to content is shifting and our shift from linear into non-linear schedules: i love the fact that all of Vanessa’s friends seem to be on different series at any one point in time.
